woooo just picked up another free bike  Grin
second retro bike ive picked up free in the last few months!

actually i told the guy i would stretch his carpet, so i spose it will cost me an hour labour.

He bought it, put new chain and sprockets and a fixed a few things (done by my local bike shop, i called in and confirmed that this afternoon) and then rode it. It scared the shit out of him, he gave it to his son and someone didnt put any oil in the fuel..! So it needs a rebuild now big end is stuffed.

engine now totally rebuilt top to bottom. Cylinder sleeved by serco.
all swingarm bearings and shock linkage bearings replaced.
swingarm being polished.
new decals are on their way (had to get them from 3 different places to get a complete set)

Wheel bearings were replaced, and it was found the the rear hub bearing surface has been flogged out. I i got quoted a few hundred bucks to weld and machine, so i found a NOS rear hub and spokes and the rear wheel will be rebuilt.

Both chain rollers and all sliders are new.

I have heaps more photos as it sits i have the motor and radiators back in, just waiting on shock spring to be powdercoated pink and get some time to polish swingarm.

Oh also all new plastics.

It has cost me waaaayyyyy more than planned, but still a cheap bike becuase i got it for free.

a few more things to do -
Get a new airbox (as this one has been covered in someones white overspray and nothing i can find will get it off and leave the airbox looking good)
ahhh...
source a new front brake cable as this one has some major rubbing on it.

Will try to get the other pics off my camera, as this one is off my phone.

While i was browing CMNSL i noticed just how much NOS stuff these guys have for this model.
They have nos frames, swing arms, cylinders, everything you can imagine! the frame was something like 1500 pounds!!
